Ellen helped to spawn the field of professional services marketing at a time when professionals and service organizations in the fields of healthcare, law and financial services were just dipping their toes in the marketing pond. She has deep experience in the healthcare issues impacting seniors from her work representing clients ranging from Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Main Line Health and Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Ellen Toplin founded an integrated strategic marketing, communications and public relations firm in 1982. After 25 successful years, she merged her $3+ million agency into The Star Group and served as both a managing partner of The Star Group and as president of StarToplin. Ellen officially retired from Star on October 31, 2010 and is spending her time serving as a strategic business and marketing advisor to organizations and serving as a trustee on boards of directors.
