Torr International, Inc. is in its 17th year of business. It started primarily as a vacuum technology company, and in the last six years it has established itself as a Thin Film & Nanotechnology Equipment Specialist. The current range of products include Standard Table Top low-priced Magnetron Sputtering systems for diverse applications, from specimen preparation for SEMs to R&D with metal, dielectric and polymer films to Custom-built multi-target sophisticated systems for special applications. We also manufacture Thermal and E-Beam Evaporation systems to suit customers' needs and specialize in Etching systems with different configurations for corrosive and standard applications. We serve a worldwide market in the areas of Thin Film Deposition and Etching as well as high vacuum technology. We believe in understanding the customers' requirements fully, before offering a solution. Torr International, Inc. acquired Plasma Sciences,Inc. of Virginia USA and routinely produce and market their Models LVC-76, CrC-150, as well as repair and service their old systems. Dr. Masud Naraghi, President & Founder of Torr International Inc, has a PhD from Case Western Reserve University with 35 years of combined experience in the field of Vacuum and Plasma Science. He has Worked in NASA and taught in various universities prior to founding Torr International, Inc.Torr International, Inc. had a great year in 2005. Our annual report is pending and will be posted when it is complete.The Company successfully completed Installation and Commissioning of many MagSput Multi-Gun PC controlled Magnetron Sputtering Systems. We also successfully designed, built and tested the Reactive Ion Etcher RIE 600W meant for a fiber optics company in Chicago, USA. This machine was installed and successfully commissioned to meet the specifications laid down by the customer. This was a PC controlled machine with complete Process recipe. We built a number of Table Top Sputtering systems, our Standard CRC 150 and supplied to various Industries and educational/R & D Institutions. We upgraded some of these Compact Research Coaters with addition of RF power for sputtering dielectrics and polymers. We also sold a few SEM coaters both in USA and Mexico. We built a Thermal Evaporator with multiple controls, planetary drive etc. for IBM's T.J. Watson Research Center. We also built a few more Thermal evaporators for customers in USA.
