Installation Instructions Important: Torrid Marine strongly recommends installation be performed by experienced and qualified personnel only. Warranty does not cover damage to products during installation. Warning: The water heaters can generate temperatures in excess of 170 degrees farenheit. The thermostat on this water heater controls the electric element only. While heating water with the heat exchanger, the temperature will rise to the operating temperature of your engine. You may choose to install a tempering or mixing valve. These will insure that the temperature of your water exiting the tank is set to your needs and not the temperature of your engine. These valves are available for purchase at your nearest dealer, or see the parts section of the manual (Part # T116V). Please print this page for your reference. These instructions may also be found in your owner’s manual. Installation References Steps: - -Note: Do note rotate outlet fitting. This fitting is positioned so that the attached AIR-VENT tubing end is at the top of the water storage tank; this helps eliminate trapped air. The black line on the outlet pipe nipple indicates the air vent position. This mark should always be on the top of this fitting. - -Note: for special wattage or voltage requirements (e.g. on custom heaters), circuit protection should be provided according to the requirements for that particular installation. For technical support, please contact 800-722-5123. - - -Important: Drain water from heater if freezing of stored water is possible. Freezing can rupture connecting water lines and/or tank.
