Key components of our programs include: • A unique classroom that duplicates an authentic work environment where students interact and solve problems as work colleagues. • State-of the-art computer training on Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and other business applications. • Complete coverage of the universal skills identified by the Department of Labor ’s Secretary ’s Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS). • Strong emphasis on "soft skills" including interpersonal communication, teamwork and problem solving that are critical in today ’s business environment. • Intensive personalized instruction and small class sizes. • Community based volunteer placement, in which students experience working in a real office environment.
