My midifiles are all copyright protected performances. However, I am making them freely available for personal, NON-COMMERCIAL distribution and enjoyment. If you would like to use any of my midi files in any sort of commercial application, you must contact me for permission regarding any such use. Warren Trachtman The MIDI file performances available on this website are all of compositions which are in the public domain in the United States. I own the performance copyrights for my own MIDI file performances, and I have chosen to make them available for non-commercial use and enjoyment from my own website. Please contact me for permission to use these MIDI performances in any other capacity. The U.S. Copyright Office Circular 15t (Extension of Copyright Terms) still confirms that "Works published before January 1, 1923 have fallen into the public domain." and that "these works do not receive the additional 20 years of copyright protection created by Public Law 105-298." If you are located in a country whose copyright laws differ from those of the US, you must check your own country's copyright laws to make certain that you are permitted to download and listen to these tunes. In the case of the performances or original compositions in my "contemporary syncopators" areas, those files are all made available with the direct permission of, or even at the direct request of, these composers and performers.
