Description
Why Choose CSA Travel Protection? CSA sells products that are more accurately described as "travel insurance and travel assistance services." This is because CSA products consist of insurance and non-insurance components bundled together in a single, comprehensive package. Examples of non-insurance components that CSA offers include Emergency Assistance services. What does a CSA Travel Protection plan cover? The plan covers many unforeseen circumstances that may force you to cancel or interrupt. (Including sickness, injury or death.) In addition, CSA plans provide protection for unexpected events that may occur during your trip. Below is a list of the different coverages that can be found in the CSA Comfort and Luxe Travel Protection Plans. Please refer to the Certificate (or Policy) of Insurance for the plan's specific coverages. Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Travel Delay Baggage Loss/Damage Baggage Delay Medical and Dental Expense Emergency Medical Transportation Damage To Your Rental Car (Not available in all states) Air Flight Accident Travel Accident 24-hour Emergency Assistance Why is travel insurance important? Travel insurance is important because many times, travelers pay for their trips months in advance. You and your family may be in the best of health today, but things can change before you go on your trip, leaving you with cancellation penalties. Secondly, travel insurance gives you confidence while on your trip. With travel insurance, numerous unexpected situations may be covered that can save you a lot of time, money and frustration. How much of my trip cost should I insure? You should insure the total of your pre-paid, non-refundable trip costs, including airfare -- the amount you would be losing to penalties if you have to cancel your trip. What about frequent flyer miles? Sorry, frequent flyer miles cannot be insured for any dollar value. But be sure to include your flight dates in your policy so you will have the coverages for travel delay, baggage delay, etc. What if I don't yet know all of my travel arrangements? Should I wait to buy the policy? You should insure the trip cost that you are sure of right away. As you add additional arrangements to your trip (air flights, hotels, etc) you can add these arrangements to the plan. What if I don't yet know my exact travel dates? Many travelers book the main part of their trip well in advance and it may be weeks or months later that they have everything, including the exact travel dates nailed down. If this is your situation there's no reason to delay in purchasing a policy. The travel dates can be modified at any time prior to your departure. There's no charge for this service. What if I cancel my trip? The CSA Plan will reimburse you for prepaid, non-refundable payments made for your trip when your cancellation falls under one or more of the reasons listed in your Policy or Certificate. Will CSA Travel Protection plans refund my travel agent service fees if my trip is cancelled for a covered reason? Yes. You can insure any service fees charged up front and invoiced by your travel agent at the time of booking.
