We provide tree protection services for construction and remodeling projects. Our team is experienced in assessment of sites, soil conditions, and plan review. We provide written tree protection specifications, with supervision of construction near protection zones, root pruning as needed, and follow-up inspections are standard. We can be on call and quickly onsite to provide advice for handling unforeseen tree protection problems. We have expertise in development issues and can make recommendations during the planning process, including drafting of EIS documents or providing information for SEPA.

Unlike most consulting arborists, we have two climbing consultants who are able to climb trees to complete aerial assessments. We use state-of-the-art evaluation tools, including the Resistograph Drill, to assess trees. Our approach is intended to save valuable trees and identify those that are of concern for potential risk. We provide detailed custom management plans for each evaluated tree, with instructions for pruning or removal to reduce risk, diagnosis and treatment recommendations to improve health, and general tree care instructions. Our PNW-ISA Certified Tree Risk Assessors use the current Tree Risk Assessment method and are qualified to file applications for removal permits with municipalities. We specialize in structural assessment and decay diagnostics with the Resistograph drill, a tool that gives us information on the interior condition of the tree.

Our clients include homeowners, developers, municipalities, attorneys, contractors, insurance companies, planners, architects, landscape architects and commercial arborists.

We provide inventories of trees or understory vegetation for municipal or campus management. We can collect GPS/GIS data, as well as assessments of value, condition, or other data, for inclusion in databases used for long-term management. Tree Solutions also offers tree-related policy development and implementation services. We can be a valuable adjunct to your planning team, by assisting surveyors in completing accurate tree surveys, and by working with architects and engineers to meet environmental standards and ordinances.

Consulting arborists, who are typically certified as well, have the training and experience to render expert opinions on the health and condition of trees. Law firms, homeowners, utilities, planners and developers pay them for their knowledge. Certified arborists are qualified to care for trees, and are generally hired to provide basic care, including pruning and/or removal.
