Humanity of Putnam County - $2,500 to purchase materials to construct a Habitat home in Putnam County. • Jones County Senior Center - $1,000 to provide food for a seniors congregate meal program in Jones County. • Plentitude Baptist Church - $2,500 to provide funds to prepare a home to accommodate an individual in Jones County who recently suffered a spinal cord injury. • Putnam County 4-H - $3,200 to assist in the cost of sending low income students to 4-H camp. • Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia - $1,000 to provide nights of stay for families from the Tri-County service area.

All of the costs associated with purchasing power, delivering it to your home, and maintaining data and billing for your account are included in the "Energy and Distribution" amount. One of the components is for monthly energy usage, charged on a per kWh basis. The remaining portion is a "minimum bill" charge, which covers reoccurring costs associated with providing electrical service, regardless of energy usage.

In 1959, Tri-County EMC constructed a new headquarters office on Highway 129S in Gray. The cooperative also purchased property on Highway 44 in Eatonton to serve as a North District Office. Later, property was purchased in Eatonton on Recreation Road adjacent to the Putnam Law Enforcement Center. In 2000, a new customer service and payment center was constructed at this site. In 2001, Tri-County completed a new headquarters office in Gray on the site of the existing headquarters building and operations center.

Tri-County EMC's directors and employees place tremendous importance on corporate citizenship. Since our first power lines crossed rural middle Georgia, Tri-County has influenced economic development. Tri-County employees are active volunteers in the communities we serve.
