Mary Colleran became Chief Operations Officer in 2013 after serving as the Director of Grants and Special Projects and Grants Manager since January 2010. Mary is responsible for the development and oversight of Trilogy’s federal and municipal grants, evaluation, quality assurance, and research efforts. After receiving her bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in 1995, Mary began her career working with a variety of populations in the non-profit sector, including women fleeing domestic violence, homeless families and isolated elderly. Mary received her Masters in Social Work, with a focus on Program Management, from Boston University in 2001. Mary has over ten years experience in nonprofit development and management. In addition, Mary has conducted trainings and lectures on Grant Writing and Program Evaluation.

Phillip Hall joined Trilogy as Chief Financial Officer in 2014. Phillip is responsible for all organizational financial activities, including business planning operations, financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, and the financial audit function. Phillip received his Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences from the University of Chicago and his Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard University. Phillip has more than 20 years of experience in Financial Management and has worked in Chicago area not-for-profits since 2002. His previous employers include the LaSalle Foundation, Esperanza Community Services and the Institute for Latino Progress. Phillip has managed non-profits during extreme growth and has managed budgets of over $100 million. He has experience operating in several social service areas including: early intervention for infants; housing, case management and training for Chicago residents with developmental disabilities; after school programming and alternative high schools for urban youth; job training and literacy for working adults; and day-wellness programs and affordable housing for seniors.

Trilogy’s partnership with the Rush University College of Nursing began in 2008 and plays a key role in expanding the capacity to provide affordable healthcare to our underserved client population. Our Director of Integrated Healthcare, who also serves as a faculty member at Rush University, supervises a large group of nursing students each semester as they assist with the development and execution of our educational programming, perform health assessments at our 1400 W. Greenleaf building and our residential sites, and partner with clinical staff to provide basic primary care and health assessments in the community for those clients who require more intensive supports and services. This program has increased access to affordable healthcare for our underserved client population by leveraging the enthusiasm and resources of more than 250 Rush nursing students who have interned at Trilogy. It is a unique opportunity that allows students to participate in every aspect of the growth of our innovative Integrated Healthcare Program while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Trilogy’s holistic, multidisciplinary team approach to treatment.

Trilogy's Integrated Healthcare Program was established in September 2008, with a grant from the Lloyd A. Fry Foundation to help address this need and incorporate a holistic, multidisciplinary team approach to treatment to foster improvement in the overall quality of life for the people we serve. This generous funding allowed us to hire a part-time Rush University College of Nursing faculty Advanced Practice Nurse for the position of Medical Services Coordinator (MSC). The addition of our MSC allowed us to increase access to primary care for our client populations, and further our goal of increasing access to more holistic care for our client populations and providing the most innovative and comprehensive mental health services possible.

In 2009, we invited Heartland Health Center (HHC) to be our Integrated Healthcare Program's primary healthcare partner in order to improve accessibility and affordability of a comprehensive primary and mental healthcare system for individuals with serious mental illness. In 2010, Trilogy and HHC successfully applied for and received a Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) four-year multi-million dollar federal grant in support of expanding our Integrated Healthcare Program. This substantial grant helps us better coordinate a holistic strategy for care for our client base by providing primary care services at our healthcare clinic. In 2011, SAMHSA awarded Trilogy a one-time Health Information Technology (HIT) grant under Primary and Behavioral Health Care Integration (PBHCI). This funding was used to transition Trilogy clinical records to a complete electronic medical record system.
