Description
Dan Daniel grew up "west of the Pecos" in a small town where he excelled in sports as well as academics. A standout quarterback in high school, he switched to defensive back in college where he played for Grant Teaff at Angelo State University. He received his pharmacy degree from the University of Texas after completing his undergraduate work at Angelo State. Dan moved to Dallas and began work in his chosen field of pharmacy. It was not long before Dan knew that he wanted to be his own boss, just as his dad had been. Dr. Dan founded Trinity Pharmacy in 1980. It was originally located at the intersection of Josey Lane and Trinity Mills (Currently George Bush Freeway). Dan had a dream, and an ambition to become the "small town" pharmacy in the big city. With early stockholders including his dad, Dan, his mother, Elsie along with his Aunt Flossie (H.B.), he was able to mold the store into one that is known throughout the area as the place to go for personalized prescriptions, expert, friendly service, and all those hard to find remedies and supplies. Trinity Pharmacy prides itself on going that "extra mile" to satisfy customers' medical needs. He has five children, all of whom have worked or are working the pharmacy with Dan. Dan is married to Sandy, a former elementary school teacher in the Snyder school system. They have seven children, four girls and three boys. In addition to the Daniel sons, and daughters who have worked at the pharmacy, there has been a nephew or two, a brother, a sister, and a mother.........you don't have to be named DANIEL to work at the pharmacy, but it helps!!! Dan has been a mentor for dozens of interns along with pharmacy techs over the years. He has coached hundreds of youth games in all sports in the process of rearing five athletic children, all of whom have worked at the pharmacy at one time or another. Dan has coached over 50 youth teams in soccer, basketball, and baseball in the last ten years. He loves young people, and employs his skills as a magician and chemist in his "Dr. Dan's Magic Show" - an interesting presentation given annually in October during Red Ribbon Week in elementary schools in the Carrollton-Farmer's Branch school district. The show mixes magic, chemistry and a talk about good drugs vs. bad drugs. A member of the faculty at University of Texas, Texas Tech, and University of Pharmacy Schools, Dan has served as a preceptor/mentor to over 40 interns since 1985. He is well known and respected among the medical community throughout the state, and he is used as a consultant by many in the medical field. Dan is an amazing CHEMIST who can conjure prescription and nonprescription formulas to the needs of all patients. He is consulted by many in the medical field concerning the chemical mixtures. Dr. Dan is Fellow of the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists and the American College of Apothecaries. He has been National Pharmacist of the Month. Home
