The Trust Company of Virginia’s founders believed so strongly that exceptional client service could best be delivered by an independent trust company, they successfully lobbied the Virginia General Assembly to change the existing banking laws. In 1993, the state banking laws were changed to accommodate the creation of independent trust companies; as a result, The Trust Company of Virginia opened for business in early 1994. The Company has experienced significant growth since 1994, and remains committed to our founding principle of exceptional client service. We opened our first office in Richmond, and we now have branch offices in Colonial Heights, Williamsburg, Roanoke, and in Northern Virginia.In striving to achieve our goal of developing a personal relationship with all of our clients, a team of seasoned professionals, supported by a portfolio manager, is assigned to each client of The Trust Company of Virginia.We believe that our disciplined approach to asset management will allow us to achieve our investment objective: To produce above average, long-term returns that are consistent with the client's financial goals.
