Description

Click here for news about the Brady Arts District String Quartet!> he Tulsa Violin Shop opened on May 1st, 1996 under the ownership of cellist Lou Lynch. Lou had played professionally for nearly thirty years before meeting Amos Hargrave and finding an interest in instrument repair and restoration. Under Amos’ tutelage, Lou began simple repairs and set-ups on instruments played by students of the Tulsa Public School system. After three years, Tulsa’s need for a full-service dealer and restorer of fine and student instruments was realized with the opening of The Shop. Amos Hargrave has continued as a mentoring influence on The Shop, lending his expertise as one of America’s foremost makers of stringed instruments. Today, The Shop now occupies three storefronts in Tulsa’s historic Brady District. It is a full service establishment, providing instruments for purchase, appraisals, bows, strings and string accessories as well as repair and restoration. Our goal is to maintain prices competitive with the leading mail-order and online retailers while providing the personal attention and expert assistance that is available only in a local business. Regular hours: Monday - by appointment Tuesday - Friday
