Our back nine holes opened in January of 1999, which when combined with our historic front nine, make us not only Arizona's oldest continuously operating course, but one of its newer ones as well. Laid-out by resident pro, Dick Atkinson, the back nine offers clever integration into its surroundings and a nice contrast to the front nine. Although challenging, the back nine are generally short holes, with one glaring exception: the 747 yard, par 6 hole known as, "the Rattler." Turquoise Valley has been universally praised for its great greens and excellent conditions, which only seem to improve. Perhaps a testament is that we are the only one of Cochise County's golf courses to merit inclusion in Arizona's Greatest Golf Courses, by Bill Huffman.
