Tyler 2 Construction has a vibrant history as one of the Carolina ’s leading construction companies. The tale of Tyler 2 Construction begins in 1983 with the founding of Inside Moves Company, Incorporated Tyler II Construction formed in 1991 after the dissolution of the Inside Moves Partnership; and Tyler II evolved to Tyler 2 Construction in 2003 as part of our 20th anniversary celebration with a new brand and marketing effort. The mid-1980's marked the beginning of the commercial development boom in Charlotte and Tyler 2 was one of the first specialty upfit contractors for commercial and retail space. By staying ahead of the industry and the needs of a demanding market, Tyler 2's capabilities evolved quickly to include large renovations, expansions, and mid-sized exterior construction with the same attention to detail required for interior upfitting. Aggressively pursuing opportunities enabled Tyler 2 to bring aboard the staff, expertise, and support to anticipate and service the ever-changing needs of the commercial construction marketplace. In 1994, Tyler 2 added site work and shell construction experience to our portfolio. Strategically forming joint venture agreements with Charlotte-based FNThompson Construction, the Tyler-Thompson joint venture successfully completed the residence halls for Johnson & Wales University. Tyler-Thompson also completed building the new headquarters for Carolina Neurosurgery and Spine Associates. Tyler 2 Construction has worked hard to "run with the Big Dogs" as evidenced by our status as a preferred vendor for both Bank of America and Wachovia, Carolinas Healthcare Systems, Novant, and major commercial real estate management and development companies. Tyler 2 is acknowledged as a construction specialist in high-rise occupied buildings.
