United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia (UCP) was founded in 1962 by volunteers, professionals, and family members of persons with cerebral palsy. UCP of Georgia is a charter affiliate of the national UCP Association. UCP is a voluntary health agency, which now provides a broad spectrum of programs and services for children and adults with cerebral palsy and all other developmental disabilities including autism, epilepsy, mental retardation and Down syndrome.UCP programs and services are designed to help persons with developmental disabilities manage their disabilities as effectively as possible, and to help them improve the quality of their lives. UCP of Georgia is headquartered in Atlanta, has a branch in Macon, and is currently expanding its programs and services in the Augusta and Savannah areas.
