STMicroelectronics is a French-Italian multinational electronics and semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It was formed in June 2000 by the merger of semiconductor companies SGS Microelettronica (Società Generale Semiconduttori) of Italy and Thomson Semiconducteurs, the semiconductor arm of France's Thomson. At the time of the merger in 1987, the company was known as SGS-THOMSON but became STMicro following the withdrawal of Thomson SA as an owner.

TI is a leader in semiconductor solutions for analog and digital embedded and applications processing that innovates through design, sales and manufacturing operations in more than 30 countries.

Intel Corporation was founded in 1968 and is the world's largest semiconductor company, selling microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, network interface controllers and integrated circuits, flash memory, graphic chips, embedded processors and other devices related to communications and computing. Jerome Pepin is also co-founder of WBParts, Inc. and serves as its CEO and President. Prior to WBParts, Pepin co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Performance Software Solutions Inc. (PSSI), a software development and consulting company founded in 1994. He held sales and management positions, with Consilium, Inc. (now Applied Materials), and with Applied Data Research (now Computer Associates). These positions involved providing strategic software solutions to major Aerospace and Defense companies.

Originally created as an online auction site, USBid's current offering combines efficient, easy-to-use web tools with catalogs containing more than 50 million parts, backed by an in-house test lab capable of exceeding minimum industry standards for detection of counterfeit and substandard product.
