U.S. Port Services, Incorporated is a Norfolk-based company dedicated to providing quality trucking and warehousing services to our many customers. We at U.S. Port Services are seasoned professionals in the trucking and warehousing industries who prefer to run the company with a “hands-on ” approach. U.S. Port Services offers a full range of distribution, transportation, and third party logistical services. We have several warehousing facilities in the Hampton Roads area (many within blocks of the Ocean Terminals). We also operate a local and an over-the-road trucking division as well as a freight brokerage operation, serving the contiguous 48 states. By keeping the management of the different divisions closely intertwined with each other, U.S. Port Services offers what we refer to as “Port to Door ” service. With a single communication from our customer, we can arrange for their imported goods to be transported from the ocean terminal to our warehouse; offloaded into our warehouse for immediate reloading or short/long-term storage; reworked, if necessary; loaded onto one of our trucks; and delivered to its final destination. Our customers find that, by allowing U.S. Port Services to handle their warehousing and inland transportation needs, it alleviates the confusion of dealing with multiple carriers and warehousemen. Our customers also find that, by allowing U.S. Port Services to handle the warehousing and inland transportation, their costs are reduced because of the increased economies of scale we afford.
