UNWLA Inc. Scholarship/Children-Student Sponsorship Program was established in 1967. Our mission is to enhance and create opportunities through education and preserve Ukrainian cultural heritage within and outside of the United States of America Maria Polanskyj, Chairwoman of the Scholarship/Children - Student Sponsorship Program ,is meeting with students and members of Sojuz Ukrajinok in Kyiv, Ukraine. Founded in New York City in 1976 by the Ukrainian National Women's League of America, Inc. (UNWLA), the establishment of The Ukrainian Museum is considered by many to be one of the finest achievements of the Ukrainian immigrants in the United States. Its purpose is to preserve, interpret and present the rich cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people. Through exhibitions, scholarly study and documentation, educational programs publications and community related events, the Museum shares the remarkable scope and diversity of the Ukrainian culture with its public.
