We got our start providing service to the employees of the University of California Lawrence Livermore Laboratory -- hence the name UNCLE. In the 1980s and 1990s, our field of membership expanded to include the employees and families of the City of Livermore and of companies that belong to our local Chambers of Commerce, including Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, and Tracy.In 2001 we opened up our membership to our surrounding communities when the State of California granted UNCLE a four county community charter. Now anyone can join UNCLE Credit Union who lives, regularly works, worships, or attends school in the counties of Alameda, Contra Costa, San Joaquin and Stanislaus.
