The wax acts as a retarding agent to prevent leakage that occurs during concrete placement and consolidation from adhering to the thin brick face, greatly reducing difficult concrete removal. All of our thin bricks go through this wax coating process in which we apply two coats of paraffin wax to the brick face prior to shipment to your jobsite.
