William G. Flett President and founder has been in the roofing industry since 1961. Mr. Flett is a graduate of Allstate Construction College. He works closely with the Florida Building Code Commission through Broward County since 1989 when he was appointed to the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals to sit on the roofing committee. In 1996 he was appointed to sit as a voting member on the full board by the Broward County League of Cities and served as their Chairman in 2001and remains as a voting member. Mr. Flett has been a member of the South Florida Business Counsel since 1979 and is still serves as a director. Tracy Flett, Vice President and General Manager, grew up around the family roofing business. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree from the University of Florida and brings with him twenty years of managerial experience from American Express. The Universal Roofing management team is involved or has been involved in several roofing organizations such as the National Roofing Contractors Association, Roofing Contractors Association of South Florida, the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association and the South Broward Business Council.
