UDG is well versed in the current regulatory requirements for civil engineering projects, including highly complex permitting processes. UDG provides a full range of services for all aspects of civil engineering design including surveying, planning, preparation of construction plans and construction administration. UDG applies sound engineering principles and state-of-the-art technologies in the planning and design of all its civil engineering projects, but it is the vision of its principals that has lifted UDG to its position of leadership.

UDG, with a staff of 15, is based in Austin, Texas, conveniently located to perform planning, engineering and survey work throughout Texas. UDG's staff is experienced in the use of state-of-the-art surveying, CADD and GIS systems.

Urban Design Group (UDG) provides a full range of services for all phases of civil engineering design including surveying, planning, preparation of construction plans, and construction administration. The UDG team had its beginnings in September 1981 and has established a position of leadership in cost efficient planning and design of local civil engineering projects through the application of sound engineering principles and state-of-the-art technologies.

UDG worked as a subconsultant to Antoine Predock & Cotera Kolar, Negrete & Reed Architects providing the civil engineering design services. These services included site grading, drainage and utilities. Permitting services required separate permitting of the pedestrian tunnel and parking garage excavation and building and plaza. Work also included LEED's analysis and preparation of the traffic control plan. The planning and design of the public plaza and Great Streets sidewalks required considerable attention to landscape and water quality issues.

Specific drainage experience has included work with the design and permitting of channel projects with FEMA, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, City of Austin and Travis County. Mr. Noell also has considerable experience in the design and construction of water quality treatment systems, stormwater modeling and channel restoration design.
