The primary business of Utility Consulting International (UCI) is to provide consulting services to utility companies for the study, design, procurement, implementation, and integration of information systems, computer-based control systems, computer network and telecommunication systems for supporting the various aspects of utility operations.

UCI has extensive experience in working with utility clients providing consulting services to U.S. and international utilities. UCI is actively involved in the IEC in developing international standards, such as IEC 61850, CIM, and security for communication protocols, as well as IEEE, the UCA Users Group, and other industry groups.

The particular services provided to a client may begin in the early stages of problem identification and extend to the final stages of system operation, depending on the client's specific needs.
