The Utility Employees Credit Union (UECU) was founded in 1935 to form a savings and lending cooperative to serve the employees of Illinois Power Company. Chartered by the State of Illinois, the credit union has served its members for over 65 years. Throughout these years, the credit union has grown in membership, assets and services. Today UECU serves employees and retirees of the following list of select employee groups. 5,000 members strong our not for profit financial cooperative continues to support the credit union motto "People Helping People".
