VTel has been conducting Internet training classes for more than two years, and calls these VTel Rural Technology Farm Forums. More than 2,000 Farm Forum sessions have been initiated and completed by VTel with hundreds of rural Vermonters. VTel was the first telecommunications company in Vermont to offer an optical-fiber-based network to high schools, and VTel has been serving many of Vermont and New Hampshire's largest high schools and hospitals for over 10 years.

In the normal course of providing your telephone service, VTel maintains certain information about your account. This information, when matched to your name, address and calling or originating billing telephone number, is known as your customer-specific "Customer Proprietary Network Information," or CPNI for short. Examples include the type of line you have, technical characteristics (like Touch-tone or rotary service), class of service, current telephone charges, long-distance and local service billing records, directory assistance charges, usage data, and calling patterns.

Latency - The user plane latency achieved in LTE is less than in existing 3G technologies, providing a direct service advantage for highly immersive and interactive application environments, such as multiplayer gaming and rich multimedia communications.

The Vermont Broadband Enhanced Learning Link (VT BELL) network is a Gigabit Ethernet to 10 Gigabit Ethernet fiber network designed to provide service to community anchor institutions in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. VT BELL offers a mixture of a GigE wide area network, Internet I & II, and off-site data storage to K-12 schools, medical centers, institutions of higher education, public safety entities and other ciritcal facilities, including last mile providers.
