We are writing to thank you for the excellent quality of workmanship on the restoration of our mother's home after the fire. The severity of the damage to the house required complete replacement of all interior walls, flooring including a substantial number of floor joists, complete plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems, repair of the fireplace, all the windows, interior and exterior doors. We found you and your staff to be very professional, accessible and cooperative. Your flexibility in incorporating several last minute changes was greatly appreciated. We especially want to commend you on the innovative approaches used to resolve several difficult problems that arose during the construction. In closing, we would like to say it was a pleasure working with you and we would highly recommend your company to anyone who requires quality workmanship. Enclosed please find a check. This check represents the final chapter in the successful restoration of our house from fire damages. The project met its cost and schedule goals as well as providing a high quality job. We've gotten many complements on the house during the past year. All this was due to good planning, control of material deliveries and careful execution. Concerning the fire re-construction work that your firm has recently completed at The Townhomes of Eastbrooke, please accept this letter as verification of the following facts. As the Property Manager I made weekly progress inspections of the work performed on the building that suffered the fire loss. All repairs were accomplished in accordance with the specifications outlined in the contract between your organization and The Townhomes of Eastbrooke. As invoices were presented to Eastbrooke for work completed, payments were made immediately due to the nature of the weekly inspection process as well as our agreement for payments. Your total dedication to completing this project as well as your personal attention to all those “little” details was always appreciated. The extra services which you performed and never charged for shows the intense commitment that you bring to each project. I enjoyed our working relationship and was totally pleased with your performance. On January 28, 1995, fire swept through the home of my ex-wife in Macedon, New York. Except for some pets who were killed, no one was injured. The entire house was judged to be a total loss by both the insurance company and the public adjuster (whom I hired as my representative with the insurance company). Smoke, fire and water had completely destroyed the interior and the roof. Every room of the house was either totally destroyed or severely damaged. Blackened and burned, clothes, pictures, toys and belongings of all kinds were either lost or damaged by smoke, fire and water. The entire structure would have to be raised. Needless to say, Debbie was devastated. She had lost everything. As co-owner, I undertook to rebuild the home and began gathering bids from various builders around the area.
