JANICE A. MARKS, CPA, CVA, PFS Owner/Chief Executive Officer Jan began her career at Varney & Associates, CPAs, LLC in 1974 from Kansas State University with her B.S. in accounting. Along with being a Certified Public Accountant, Ms. Marks is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). Her professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, AICPA Management Consulting Division and Personal Financial Planning Division, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. Her professional expertise includes tax preparation with an emphasis in planning and consulting. She works with individuals and businesses and is certified to do business valuations. Jan’s passion towards people and her love of numbers were the driving forces that led her into accounting. Jan is dedicated to helping clients achieve personal and business success by helping them establish practical tax and financial processes that meet each client’s unique objectives. Locally she has served on many civic and charitable boards and committees. Currently, Jan serves on the Manhattan Community Foundation Asset Development Committee, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Friends of Leadership Board, the KSU Business Advisory Council, the St. Isadore’s Newman Foundation Board, and the Salina Catholic Diocese Finance Council. In her free time Jan enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
