VSI was founded in 1985 and in 1988 decided to specialize in developing recreation management software for recreation and parks departments following a successful bid at the City of New Britain, CT. The challenges leading up to this successful bid, together with the work that was required to complete the project, best illustrate what VSI is today. Since 1989, VSI has focused on providing a broad range of solutions for the recreation and parks market only.

Giles Willey , President, manages the company, participates in the sales effort, and oversees VSI strategic development plans. Other duties include nurturing business partnerships to complement the core VSI applications and modules. In 1989, Giles developed the first release of our premier products, RecTrac and GolfTrac. His experience in systems analysis, software design, software development, hardware and network configurations, and customer installations began in 1981.

John Jennings epitomized what being a VSI employee was all about. John did not understand the phrase "not my job." He was an integral part of the Vermont Systems family for over 10 years. The courage and determination John exhibited during his two year battle with cancer is a testament to his character, and continues to inspire us to do our very best every day. Through all of the suffering and treatments, John never accepted any pity and made us all stronger people with the strength and positive attitude that he approached each day.

Kate Mitchell , Vice President & Treasurer. As our Business Manager, Kate is responsible for all corporate accounting functions. Kate has been part of the VSI team since 1985. John Willey , Vice President, manages much of the marketing and sales of VSI products. John also assists with the research phase of product integration with VSI application software. John has been with the company since 1993. Bruce Gepfert , Vice President and Director of Software Development.
