In order to implement a digitizer solution, you’ll need to have a digitizer tablet along with software that turns the digitizer coordinates into quantity measurements. There are two types of digitizers: rigid, hard digitizers or roll-up tablets. Roll-up digitizers provide portability if needed. GTCO/CalComp is currently the leading manufacturer of large-format digitizer tablets. Currently digitizer tablets are not sold by the manufacturer to the end user, but rather are resold by companies that provide a digitizing software solution.
