Automotive Repair Technician: Automotive Service Writer: Collision Repair: must have experience with computerized unibody frame measuring and frame straightening equipment. Knowledge of damage analysis techniques. Mechanical repairs associated with collision damage such as suspension, radiation, air conditioning, and electrical repairs. -Combination technicians need knowledge of general auto body repair techniques including metal work, welding, plastic repair, minor structural repairs and refinishing experience. -Painters must have extensive experience with automotive refinishing use multiple products. Knowledge of blending techniques and three stage applications required. Experience using computerized color matching and mixing systems. -Estimators must have strong customer service and sales experience. Extensive experience with damage analysis and estimating repairs based on a general understanding of the repair process. Estimators are also responsible for expediting parts and managing the job through the repair process while tracking profitability. Estimators must have knowledge of computerized estimating software and experience negotiating insurance claims.
