10/12/2010 Synethic Marijuana Banned Now in Milwaukee Milwaukee has become the latest city to ban synthetic marijuana. The Common Council approved the ban today with only one no vote. Alderman Nik Kovac wanted a committee to consider a licensing plan for the product, but his motion failed. The product is known as “K-2,” and it’s a mix of herbs and a formulated compound. It lacks the active ingredient in marijuana, but some government officials say the high is stronger – and it can have a dangerous effect on users. Eau Claire and Duluth-Superior are among the places that have banned K-2. One of the main sponsors of the Milwaukee ban, Alderman Bob Donovan, said dealers who quote, “make money off this poison ought to be hung.” 10/12/2010 "Screech" Faces Foreclosure in WI For a third time in the last four years, actor Dustin Diamond is having a property foreclosed. Diamond played the character “Screech” in the 1980s situation comedy “Saved by the Bell.” TMZ-dot-com is reporting Wells Fargo Bank filed on his home in Ozaukee County. The bank says he owed more than 290 thousand dollars. The bank says it wants a payment of 278 thousand dollars from the actor immediately.
