Description

WES Health System was founded in July 1992 as a successor of previous organizations that were committed to providing behavioral health care since the mid-1970s. This successor organization was officially named Dr. Warren E. Smith Health Centers (WES) in 1994. Through the years, WES' staff has been providing services to the community and has been instrumental in the broad expansion of services to individuals and families.

As Chief of Staff, LaJewel Harrison is responsible for overseeing the direction of the Blended Enhanced Targeted Case Management Department, the Child & Family Outpatient Clinics, the Adult Outpatient Clinics, the Family-Based Department, and the Substance Abuse Unit. Mrs. Harrison has been employed at WES for over 11 years. She has held several positions of increasing responsibility beginning with the Targeted Case Management Department.

Prior to coming to WES, Dr. Von Zuben worked in a variety of settings. He completed his pre–doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Counseling and Psychological Services (an APA-accredited site), where he conducted treatment outcome research and provided clinical services to a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, he has worked with delinquent adolescent males at St. Gabriel’s Hall in Audubon, Pennsylvania and through the DeLSTAR program, which is St. Gabriel’s outpatient program for juvenile sex offenders.

WESWay Wellness Center focuses on providing services to patients with private insurance. We provide a full range of behavioral health and holistic services.

Are WES’s programs accredited? Yes, WES is committed to providing high-quality services to all of its patients and has received full state accreditation for all applicable programs since 1996.
