Our strap hinge is named and numbered according to the weight of the door it can swing. For instance, our 20,000 Heavy Duty Strap hinge was proven over time to swing doors weighing 20,000 pounds or more. It was proven on oncology room doors all over the USA and Europe, (which are always lead filled), and which are 5 feet wide by 8 feet high, and which are swung by automatic door openers, up to 30 times a day for between 10 to 50 years.
