(August 23, 2010) – Waste Associates has hired Darrin Hinderliter to serve as director of operations at its subsidiary company, The East End Landfill. In this newly created position, Hinderliter will oversee all day-to-day management of the construction and demolition waste facility located in eastern Henrico County. Prior to joining Waste Associates, Hinderliter was with Georgia-based Veolia Environmental Services for nine years, managing two of the company’s landfill properties, Pecan Row and Evergreen. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Based in Richmond Virginia, Waste Associates is the parent company of a number of limited liability waste transfer, hauling, landfill, recovery and recycling companies and corporations in the eastern United States. The East End Landfill (TEEL) is an innovative, state-of-the-art landfill site that accepts construction and demolition (C&D) debris within a 150-mile radius of Richmond, Virginia. The site is one of a few of its kind in the U.S. to “mine”waste and recover salvageable, recyclable materials for reuse. ###
