Watkins Financial Group was established in 1984 to provide insurance services for individuals and businesses. The primary purpose of Watkins Financial group is to assist clients in evaluating needs and providing solutions. The proper solution can be offered only after understanding each client’s need. We are committed to excellence in communication, service and implementation of employee benefits. Employee benefits are provided to our clients through a partnership with Digital Benefit Advisors, a division of Digital Insurance, Inc. For individuals, solutions may include life insurance, disability income, long term care insurance, personal financial planning and individual medical and dental plans. Financial planning is accomplished when the adviser and the client form a relationship to help achieve the client’s objectives through careful understanding, analysis, and implementation. Watkins Financial Group operates with the philosophy that our clients’ goals, questions and desires are our primary concern. Our role is to provide for each client the level of service that is desired and deserved.

Keri Leatherwood Keri Leatherwood has been assisting clients of Watkins Financial Group since 2014 when she began as Administrative Assistant to Eddie Watkins. Keri is passionate about exhibiting excellence in all of her endeavors and providing exceptional customer service to the clients of Watkins Financial Group. Keri graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and a minor in Business Management. Keri's past work experience includes four years of experience in the banking and finance industry along with two years of Administrative Assistant experience. The diversity of her education and employment history make her uniquely qualified to provide professional and personalized customer service to all of our clients. Keri and her husband Nathan reside in Morrisville and enjoy traveling the country with their extended family.

In addition to being involved in various professional organizations including NAIFA, NAHU, Society of Financial Services Professionals and Kingdom Advisors. Eddie coached youth baseball for more than 25 years through the West Raleigh Baseball Association, Inc. and the West Raleigh Exchange Club. He currently serves as the Chapel Leader of the Carolina Mudcats, the AA affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. Eddie has been married to Betsy Cooper Watkins since June 3, 1973. They have two sons, Matthew and Seth. Eddie’s family is actively involved in their church, which includes working with couples focusing on marriage and teaching an Adult Bible Fellowship.
