BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW With a varied background in real estate, accounting, finance, development and investment, Ron has built up a very active consulting business over the past 30 year, and is the founder and managing partner of Watson Advisors. Ron is a real estate broker in both Texas and Colorado; a Certified Public Accountant registered in the state of Texas; and a Certified Mediator. He currently owns Rocky Mountain Real Estate, LLP with its home office in Gunnison, Colorado. Ron sold real estate and worked in a title company to put himself through college, and graduating with a degree in Accounting. After graduating cum laude from North Texas State University in ‘80, Ron worked for a “Big 6 ” CPA firm, then for the Trammell Crow Company, an international real estate development firm, before starting his own real estate workout business, Melson & Associates, in ’86. Over an eight year period, Ron and his partner grew the company to over 200 people with offices coast to coast. As President of Melson & Associates, Ron and his partner worked with lenders across the country to obtain control, manage and dispose of over $100 billion in troubled real estate (OREO – Other Real Estate Owned). He was involved with numerous real estate projects from development of raw land to construction of residential and commercial income properties. This has involved formulating strategies, providing workout services, maximizing values and disposing of assets. Since that time Ron has been involved in a variety of development, investment and commercial projects, ranging from subdivision and business parks, to condo conversions and new developments in resort communities in both Texas and Colorado. He has also been a court appointed Receiver on several cases, and has done extensive litigation support and expert witness work. Summary of Qualifications: PATRICK MONTGOMERY BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW Pat Montgomery acquired a BA in Political Science and English from Washington State University in 1961, and was a Distinguished Graduate in the Air Force ROTC Program. Following 6 years on Active Duty as a Regular Air Force Officer, Montgomery was hired by Pan American World Airways. He then finished out his Air Force career in the AF Air National Guard. He took early retirement as a pilot for Pan American World Airways, and completed a 20 year stint as an Air Force fighter pilot (attaining the rank of Lieutanant Colonel). Montgomery then embarked on a varied and lengthy career in real estate development, marketing and sales. His career in real estate began in Vail, Colorado in 1976. Initial experience included brokerage and development, and Pat successfully sold and marketed some $150 million in time sharing in various resorts in the Colorado Rockies. Most notable was the Christie Lodge project, a 280 unit US Home project in Avon. In three short years, the Christie Lodge sold out for approximately $120 million, breaking records in the time share industry. In Vail, Pat owned and operated a three office real estate firm with 35 sales agents and quickly achieved top ranking status among more than 45 other brokerage firms.
