Providing Rugged In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) Solutions Since 1985 Mountain Secure Systems (MSS) has been providing rugged in-flight entertainment (IFE) solutions for over 25 years. Our expertise in taking extremely fragile devices and packaging them for harsh environments has been leveraged into all our optical products. Blu-ray, our latest in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution, comes with multiple interfaces, including Ethernet and SATA. Since optical devices are inherently fragile, we use our packaging expertise to protect them from thermal, vibration, shock, EMI and humidity extremes.

MSS has been involved in many continuous improvement initiatives and adheres to LEAN manufacturing principles. These efforts have allowed us to supply our customers with high-quality products, on-time, in a low-risk, documented and repeatable manner. Sealed rugged hard drives from MSS have a phenomenal track record of performing flawlessly in adverse conditions where extreme temperature, altitude, humidity and condensation, shock and vibration, explosive decompression, dust and dirt are elements of concern. How do we offer this superior protection? MSS utilizes a time-tested, hermetically-sealed enclosure for all its rugged hard drive solutions. The hermetic sealing is achieved utilizing a proprietary technique from MSS that allows for the drives to be robust, yet does not significantly affect their size or weight.
