Description
Wavelength References is the world’s leading supplier of gas cell technology. Gas cells use the principle of molecular absorption to provide NIST-traceable wavelength references with unmatched stability over time and environment. We offer a full line of gas cells covering a wavelength range from <850nm to >10 microns.
Wavelength References designs and manufactures products that use precise molecular energy levels to enable performance unavailable by any other means. A key product family is sealed gas cells which are used as wavelength calibration tools in optical spectrum analyzers and other optical instruments, as local references in sensing systems, or in many research or calibration functions. Another product line is lasers which use gas cells to provide unparalleled wavelength stability and linewidth reduction. Such lasers find use as primary frequency standards and in interferometric sensing.
Wavelength References was founded in 1998 by Stephen Blazo and occupies a 2500 sq ft facility in Corvallis, Oregon. Mr Blazo, a graduate of MIT, has 30+ years experience in a broad range of technologies including high vacuum, electron optics, digital signal processing, circuit design, fiber optics, sensing, and system design and holds over ten patents.
