was born and raised in New Jersey and moved to Maryland to study occupational therapy at Towson University. She received her Master’s of Science degree from Towson University and has worked exclusively in pediatric settings including Kennedy Krieger’s LEAP program and Sheppard Pratt’s Forbush School. She has worked with children on the autism spectrum, with Down syndrome, sensory processing disorder and other developmental delays. Kristin has a particular interest in sensory integration, motor planning, and neuromuscular development. She enjoys reading, cooking, and watching football.
We are originally from Maryland and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, and her Master’s degree from the University of the District of Columbia. Alexis initially worked as a Speech Language Pathologist/Assistant in the public school setting for five years before becoming a licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Since then, she has practiced in private and public school settings. She has experience working with children on the autism spectrum, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, and various developmental delays. She specializes in teaching children from Pre-kindergarten to 5th grade who present with needs in oral motor skills, articulation, receptive/expressive language disorders, and social skills. Alexis is licensed within the state of Maryland and certified through the American Speech Language Hearing Association in Speech Language Pathology. She enjoys cooking, traveling and experiencing new places with friends, and spending time with her new kitten!.
Barbara Luborsky, OTR/L, has worked with children of all ages with diagnoses including: Autism Spectrum Disorders, AD/HD, CP, developmental delay, Down Syndrome, learning challenges, and Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). Before opening Way to Grow, Barbara worked in the D.C. Public Schools (therapist and Evaluation Specialist), at The Treatment and Learning Centers/Katherine Thomas School (Senior O.T.), and at the Frederick County Infants and Toddler's Program. In the time since completing OT school, Barbara has continued expanding her understanding of issues related to pediatric practice as well as learning new treatment approaches by attending continuing education seminars. She has incorporated several of these into her practice,including REI, Bal-A-Vis-X, The Astronaut Program, Loops and Other Groups, Handwriting Without Tears, and Brain Gym to name a few. She has also kept up to date on topics such as Sensory Integration, NDT, Ergonomics, Family-Centered care, NDT Approach to Treatment of the Baby. In addition to her pediatric practice, Barbara is a consultant to various agencies in the region serving adults with developmental disabilities.
- Jordan brings a wealth of skill and experience to us. She is currently working on a Secondary Education degree, with Mathematics Concentration at Shepherd University. She has experience working with all kinds of kids, individually and in groups. She worked for 4 years as a swim coach, with large groups of children ranging in age from 6-18. She has also been a Household Manager with a small group and has had a number of nanny positions for children with special needs, ranging in age from 7-13. She has worked 1:1 as a job coach helping clients develop work skills, improve social skills, develop reciprocal conversation skills, learn computer skills and develop proficiency with multiple computer operating systems.

Cheryl is licensed with the state of Maryland and certified through the American Speech Language Hearing Association in Speech Language Pathology. She has 3 children and enjoys baking, cake decorating, and spending time with her children.
