Black Splotches: This could be a sign of liver disease or malnutrition. We recommend you seek veterinarian assistance. Chlamydiosis: You will notice a green loose stool. The bird may loose their appetite completely. The bird may experience a possible discharge from the nose and most likely ruffled feathers. We recommend you seek immediate help from a veterinarian. Conjunctivitis: You will notice your bird's eyes watering; they will be red and puffy. You can relieve your bird by washing the eye with warm water. We recommend that you seek veterinarian assistance. Diarrhea: You will notice your birds stool very loose. You may notice rapid weight loss or ruffled feathers. This can be caused by several things. Stress, change in diet or a possible internal parasite. We recommend you seek help from a veterinarian. Feather Plucking: You will notice feathers in the bottom of the cage. Your bird will seem very restless and you should witness some of the plucking. Normally this is a sign of boredom, stress, poor diet or just simply not feeling well. Seek veterinary advice. Lice: You will notice your bird feather plucking or scratching. We recommend a mite and lice spray and a thorough cage cleaning. If the bird persists, contact a vet. Mites: You will notice white deposits on or around the beak, eyes, legs and feet. We recommend a mite and lice spray. If symptoms persist, contact a veterinarian. Neuropathic Gastric Dialation: You will notice your birds stool containing undigested foods, rapid weight loss and possible depression. We recommend immediate help from a veterinary. Polyoma Virus: The bird may vomit and become lethargic. You will see dramatic weight loss. This could cause sudden death. We recommend you seek help immediately from a veterinarian. Pox: You will notice scabs around the facial area and in the mouth. We recommend you seek veterinarian assistance immediately. Proventricular Dialation Disease: You will notice your bird dramatically loosing weight. He/she may even act depressed. You will notice the bird droppings will be undigested food. We recommend you seek immediate veterinarian assistance.
