Mrs. Bee, New York Age and Occupation: 29, Weddingbee Publisher Fiance's Age and Occupation: 33, Internet Engagement Date: May 7, 2004 Wedding Date: March 5, 2005 Venue: Westside Loft, New York About Me: Yes, my name really is Bee! I love my blogging, wikis, and tabasco sauce! What is Weddingbee? Weddingbee is a wedding blog updated daily by 25 or so real brides across the world. They chronicle every aspect of their wedding planning journey sharing ideas, diy projects, research, and their personal wedding stories. By following along on these real brides’ journeys, we hope to inspire and help you plan your own wedding! Weddingbee’s community also features Boards , Classifieds where brides can buy and sell wedding items, Galleries , and a Wiki that includes a vendor directory and wedding articles. Who are the Bees? The bees are a select group of volunteers who love weddings and sharing ideas with other brides to bee. You can get to know a little more about each bee by mousing over their character. A mini profile will pop up showing their picture, city, wedding date, and more. The Weddingbee Wiki lists all the bees and bee generatons in chronological order. What do the character names mean? Weddingbee is named after the site’s founder Bee. Her handle on the site is Mrs. Bee , and to maintain anonymity for all the bees, they each selected a character with a corresponding icon. We change the type of characters every couple of months - first we started with bugs to stay within the bee theme, then moved onto flowers, fruits, gemstones, vegetables, candy, back to flowers, birds, desserts, tropical fruits, beverages, hors d’oeuvres, shoes, makeup, baby animals, dogs, and now weather. How do I get to the oldest post by a Bee so I can read posts in chronological order? Click on the bee’s name. In the right column under their profile, you’ll find links for “oldest” and “newest” posts. Click on “oldest” and read posts from the bottom up to read a Bee’s posts in chronological order. How do I use the Boards? You do not need an account to read postings on the Boards , but you do need one if you want to write posts or comment. Once you’ve created an account, you can comment and write posts asking the weddingbee community for advice, vendor referrals, etc. Before posting, please try looking for your answer using search to see if your question has been asked previously, as many of the same questions have already been asked. How do I edit or delete a comment on the Boards? There is no way for users to delete comments on the boards, but you can edit comments for up to one hour. What is a Hive Hostess? Hive Hostesses help welcome new members and help to keep our community a warm and friendly place. You can read more about our Hive Hostesses and how to become one here ! How do I flag a thread or comment on the Boards or Classifieds? There is a “flag” link under each board thread. If you flag a post, one of our moderators will look into it asap. I posted a thread on the wrong board — what should I do? You don’t have to do a thing. A hive hostess will usually come along and categorize it in the right board.
