Description
Thanks for coming to see the world that is important to me. My world starts of course with my husband and children. I am married to the kindest sweetest man on this planet. At least that is my opinion. I will now tell you how we became us. We started when we met over the internet on July 5th, 1997. We met in a site called "WorldsAway". It was a place where you operated a cartoon type figure called an avatar. You walked your avatar around a town called Kymer. Our relationship moved to exchanging emails and using "ICQ" to communicate. This wonderful man was from Australia where as I was from the USA. I just assumed that we would never be more than internet friends. I thought he was so kind. He made me laugh and smile no matter what kind of day I might have been having. In October of 1997 he had some business meeting to attend in North America. He arranged to spend a week between meetings in my state so that he could meet me. Needless to say I was thrilled that I was going to actually meet this man that made me feel so special and brought so many smiles to my face. We had a wonderful time together and discovered that each of us was the same person that we had projected to be over the internet. He made me smile and laugh face to face as well as online. I knew all along that this man was very special but meeting him in person just made my feelings stronger. I was glad that I got to meet and spend time with this special man but at the same time it was rather sad, because I "knew" that I would never get to see him again. How could there be a relationship with a man that lived on the other side of world? I took him to the airport so that he could return to his business and then to his home. We were both sad, yet happy that we had gotten to meet. I was surprised that before he was to board the plane, he said that he had to tell me something. We sat and he told me that he was in love with me and that he couldn't leave without telling me. He wanted to tell me in person. I had been feeling the same way but didn't want to admit it for fear that he would think I was foolish or silly for declaring such a thing to someone that I had only "met" such a short time before. It seems that through our internet relationship we had fallen in love and meeting in person simply brought those feeling to the forefront. He hoped that I wouldn't find him silly or foolish for telling me this, Hah, how could I think that when I felt the same way? After that meeting, our online time greatly increased. The next month he returned to spend more time with me. Six weeks after that he returned again to spend a month. Through this time he had asked me to marry him. Arrangements were being made for a job transfer to the States and all that would go along with such a move. In March of 1998, I went to Australia. I met his parents and his son. He showed me many parts of his beautiful country. I felt like I was living a dream; that I would wake up and all this love would be gone. In May 1998, Ray moved to the U.S. We went to Maryland to find a home to buy. Bought it and returned to Michigan for our wedding on June 6th, 1998. We went to Bermuda for our honeymoon.
