With a focus on how to provide more environmentally friendly materials for moving and storage companies and other large users of packing materials, the Packaging Division of Western Pacific was founded in 2001. Born out of innovation of what was available within the Recycling Division, we thought there could be a better way to handle recovered fiber rolls than to remove the cores and recycle the paper, as it had traditionally been done by most scrap processors. With the addition of a roll-cutting machine, the sheeting process was started to provide additional value from the recovered fiber.

Jim joined Western Pacific in November of 2006. Prior to joining Western Pacific, Jim worked for Smurfit Stone Container for over ten years managing multiple facilities in the LA area. Prior to Smurfit, Jim worked for Paper Recovery of Orange County and has over 20 years of experience in the paper recycling and document destruction industry. Jim has extensive experience in the areas of finance, operations and sales. Jim holds an economics degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Founded in 1983 as a recycler to provide recovered fiber and pulp to paper mills in Taiwan, the scope of our organization has expanded both domestically and internationally. From our roots in paper recycling, our expertise in upgrading/adding value to recovered fiber is unmatched. Today, we also specialize in recovering metals - all grades and all varieties. And, we are among the first and largest recyclers of plastics.
