On Corner of Main & Midland Lexington, KY Thoroughbred Park is located in the corner of Main and Midland. Thoroughbred Park consists of 7 life size, bronze horses statues racing for the finish line. The water behind the statues shooting upward represents the crowd applauding. Each jockey is a replica of a famous derby winner. Gwen Reardon was the designer and developer of these detailed masterpieces. Gwen used the wipes and boots of the famous jockies to make a mold to assure that these replicas were as realistic as possible. Gwen wasn't just an artist.
