Duck hunters will be allowed no more than four mallards of which only one mallard may be a hen. The daily bag limit may also contain one pintail, three mottled ducks, three scaup, two wood ducks, two redheads, one black duck and one canvasback, but no more than a total of six ducks. The youth waterfowl hunt will be held December 11-12, 2004. Pintail seasons will be November 20, to November 28, 2004 and January 10 to January 30, 2005. Canvasback season will be January 1, to January 30, 2005. Migratory bird hunters in Arkansas, 16 years and older, are required to carry proof of Arkansas Harvest Information Program (HIP) registration when hunting ducks, geese, doves, coots, woodcocks, snipe, rails, gallinules or moorhens. Available at no charge, HIP registration can be obtained by completing a short survey found at license dealers, Game and Fish Commission offices or by logging on to www.agfc.com and clicking on License Information. To report bird bands. call toll free 1-800-327-BAND (2263). The operator will ask for the band number and how, when and where it was recovered.
