Profile A quarter-century ago, in 1975, Wilson pioneered development of test equipment for disk drives with all types of interfaces. As the leading manufacturer, the company has produced over 10,000 units installed worldwide. Using its product knowledge, Wilson recently has developed Bridge Controllers to allow users of vintage drives to substitute new SCSI drives as replacements without any changes in their existing cable-hardware or computer interface software. Because until now the principal repair parts source of media and heads for older out-of-production drives has been from other existing drives, these cannibalized or refurbished parts often have given short term reliability, resulting in escalating repair bills. Now, users can bring to an end the unreliability problem of refurbished drives that are backed only with a repair company's standard 30 to 90 day warranty. By updating with a Wilson Bridge Controller, all the benefits of SCSI error-free drives and technology backed with a drive manufacturer's full one-year new-drive warranty. The WBC series Bridge Controllers are installed in Photo imaging equipment, Board test systems, Flight simulation test stands and other dedicated equipment.
