G. Shawn Sammons, O.D., a lifelong resident of Mingo County, is a 2005 graduate of Matewan High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Marshall University in 2010 with honors. Shawn graduated from the Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, IN in 2014. There, he was a member of the Gold Key International and Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor societies, the Private Practice Club, and served as an associate instructor for underclassmen clinical science courses.

Since 2006, our practice has invested more than $250,000 into technologies that are allowing us to accomplish this 'simple' goal... We want to raise the standard of eyecare to new heights using the most innovative, state-of-the-art technologies available today. First, we began using electronic medical records in 1996. In the near future, we anticipate the government mandating this means of managing your medical records for this simple reason. They allow us to organize your important medical records to amazing detail.
