(Taipei News)Winbond Electronics Corporation, a leading supplier of semiconductor solutions, today announced its revenue results for the month of April 2002. Revenue for the month was approximately NT $3.077 billion, an increase of 27.91 percent when compared with NT $2.405 billion over the same period last year. Accumulated revenue for January to April 2002 was NT $11.209 billion, an increase of nearly 18.78 percent when compared with NT $9.437 billion over the same period last year. Winbond's April revenues showed a slight increase of 4 percent when compared with revenue for March 2002.

About Winbond Winbond Electronics Corp. was founded in 1987 in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan and has been publicly traded on the Taiwan Stock Exchange since 1995. In October 2008, the headquarters is relocated to Central Taiwan Science Park where newly built the 300mm wafer fab.
