Description
Linda Wingate Linda C. Wingate founded Wingate Consulting in 1994. The primary focus of the firm is on delivering customized succession management and talent development services. She advises senior managers in identifying, developing and sustaining future leaders who fit with the organization’s core values and purpose. Clients come to Linda because of what she doesn’t bring – formulas, standard processes, fond memories of what worked for other clients. Her clients seek partnerships and flexibility. She focuses on how they do things, not on her approach, not the latest theory. She is personally involved in the work, learning together as a team. Linda helps clients find the answers by asking appropriate questions and listening for the real issues and challenges. She provides clients with honest feedback and assessments so they can grow and develop their companies and themselves as leaders. She follows through on her commitments and is known as a practical realist. Before founding Wingate Consulting, Linda spent over thirteen years with CIGNA Corporation. At CIGNA, she was head of corporate-wide management development, which included responsibility for overall design and execution of leadership development, career development, and human resource development. Before that role, she was the senior Human Resource consultant for the Property & Casualty Reinsurance operations and Claims operations. Linda Wingate received her Masters in Organization Development from Temple University and her Bachelors from Fairmont St. College. She is an instructor for the University of Pennsylvania College of General Studies and is active in the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Group where she has held various Board positions – President, Vice-President, and Secretary-Treasurer. She is a member of the following associations: the Human Resource Planning Society, ASTD, and SHRM. She is also a volunteer for MANNA and Business Volunteers for the Arts.
