You need a real reason. Fight to be strong and be a good leader for your apprentice, and for your mother. Your mother had the same dream you did." “Now then, let me see your abilities. ” They were ready and attacked at full force; not a drop of strength was held back. When their swords landed on one another, a tornado-like wave flew into the ground. They both flew. When they hit a tree it knocked them out; but wait, Flame ’s clone took the damage. He was really inside the tree, right behind the clone. What they are saying... This book began three years ago at a "Young Authors' Day" presentation at a K-8 elementary school. One nine-year-old student was so intent about writing in his blank book (our class project) that I asked the teacher to send his book to me when he completed it. She did. I typeset the student's story, scanned his illustrations, printed and bound a few copies for nine-year-old writer, Arriq. I mailed his books to him. Last fall, Arriq presented this Samurai manuscript to me. It was 48 double-sided pages, handwritten in pencil, and I couldn't wait to get it published. Over the last semester, we worked together to edit, proofread, and prepare his words for printing. He invited his friend, Daniel, to include his artistic renderings. It has been my privilege to watch the boys grow and thrive as we worked on this project together. These two twelve-year-old boys have volumes two and three in the works already! I'm thrilled to be involved by watching them hone their skills. Income from the sales of this book will be placed in a scholarship fund, to be shared by the boys for their educational expenses after high school.
